In June 2026, we welcomed a wonderful group of women for Nuvaya's first Women's Wellness Retreat.
Over three days, we stepped away from everyday life to create space for wellness and genuine connection.
Our intention was simple, to create a welcoming environment where women could reconnect with themselves and one another.
The retreat brought together women from different backgrounds and stages of life, many of whom arrived as strangers but left having formed new friendships.
Our Venue
Our first retreat was hosted at The Hollies. A charming 200-year-old farmhouse full of character and countryside charm, nestled in the charming village of South Kilworth, Leicestershire. Their beautiful magnolia shaded courtyard and expansive garden all form part of our activity space.
Food was an important part of our retreat experience, bringing everyone together to enjoy delicious, home cooked vegetarian meals.
Our mornings began with a fresh turmeric, ginger and apple wellness shots. A refreshing way to start the day, packed with natural ingredients to help awaken the body.
Throughout the weekend, we explored a variety of activities designed to nurture both body and mind.
Opening Icebreaker
We began the retreat with a fun and interactive connection session designed to help everyone get to know one another in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Each morning began with gentle yoga and meditation in the peaceful surroundings of the garden, helping us start the day feeling grounded and present.
Our sharing circles became one of the most meaningful parts of the retreat.
Together we explored topics such as trust, clarity, personal growth and life experiences in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment.
Guests enjoyed learning simple hand reflexology techniques that they could continue practising long after the retreat had ended.
One of the most memorable experiences of the weekend was our Blindfolded Trust Walk, followed by a powerful reflection workshop exploring trust, vulnerability, communication and learning to navigate uncertainty.
Our introductory Tai Chi and Qi-Gong workshop encouraged everyone to slow down, connect with their breath and experience gentle movement in a mindful way.
Our strength and resistance session demonstrated that movement doesn't have to be intense to be effective. Using resistance bands, everyone was guided through a series of adaptable exercises aimed at improving strength, mobility and balance.
A quiet, creative session that reminded us of the value of being present and creating something meaningful with our hands (and toes).
The retreat included a deeply relaxing crystal bowl sound healing session, providing an opportunity to end the day in stillness.
Whilst each activity brought something unique, the greatest takeaway for many guests was the sense of connection.
The conversations over meals.
The laughter.
The quiet moments.
The encouragement.
The feeling of being understood.
These are often the memories that remain long after the weekend has ended.
The 2026 retreat was only the beginning.
We are already looking forward to welcoming a new group of women to our next Women's Wellness Retreat in 2027.
